Tall Ships
Thanks to the Rank Foundation we have been able to offer bursaries to young people at our clubs that Club Leaders have indentified would benefit from the Tall Ships Experience. For further information check the Tall Ships website www.tallships.org below is an extract from one of the young people’s report that took part through EABC:
I would like to firstly say a big thank you for your kind sponsorship (Rank Foundation) enabling me to go on Tall Ships Adventure SSN298. This adventure I thoroughly enjoyed and have taken away with me great memories. I have learnt how things work, improved my leadership skills, increased my confidence, enjoyed working as a team, understand the need for discipline and interacting with people from all over the country and all walks of life. The best of these was working as a team and completing jobs and tasks efficiently as one.
The young person has to raise the money for transport to and from the port that the ship is sailing from. Voyages take place all over the world from ports locally such as Portsmouth or for those who are more adventurous and have raised enough for the flight out there can join a voyage around the Caribbean.
