Jailbreak
In October each year the Annual Fundraiser Jailbreak takes place. Teams from across the county assemble inside HMP Chelmsford ready to escape when the Prison Gates open at 9am sharp. The rules are simple, in fancy dress, raising money for EABC and a charity of your choice you have fifteen hours to escape and have fun whilst doing it. Over the years teams have reached destinations as far away as Rangoon, Hong Kong and Sweden. Prizes are awarded in a number of catagories from furthest distance travelled to best fancy dress, furthest distance by non powered means and many more. We are very grateful to the Governor of Chelmsford Prison for allowing this unique event to take place.
