
On Saturday 7th March the EABC Pool Championships were kindly hosted by Chelmsford Snooker Club. Players entered across all age ranges from U12 to U19, hoping for success and a place in the Southern Regional Finals at Chichester.
The U12’s was split into two groups, with both Daniel Pritchard (Chelmsford Boys’ Club) and Gus Maby (Chelmsford Boys’ Club) winning their respective group without a loss. The final was a tense affair, with Daniel winning and being crowned U12 champion.
Billy Parsons (Crown & Manor) was crowned champion of the U14's, who competed without losing a match. Dan Templeman (Chelmsford Boys’ Club) finished in the runners up position after a play off.
The U16’s was won by Mehmet Boztepe (Crown & Manor). He had the same record as Luke Ashley (Chelmer Village Youth Club) however won on number of frames won.
Lee Cranmer (Ingatestone Boys’ Own Club) cruised to sucess in the U19's competition, winning all games without losing a frame. Runner up was Joel Cooper (Ingatestone Boys’ Own Club) who lost just one game.
Well done to all players who entered and played the competition in good spirit. Good luck to all the players who will represent EABC in Chichester at the Regional Finals.
