My work involves planning, developing and organising the Events and Activity Programme for Essex Association of Boys’ Clubs in partnership with the Regional Officers.
A number of events such as Boxing, 5 A Side Football, Cross Country and Pool have a county round where the winners can progress to Regional and National Finals where young people can achieve the ultimate level of being a National Champion.
At the end of the day it is all about having fun and meeting different people so if you have an activity you would like included in the programme please speak to your club leader or contact your E.A.B.C. Regional Office.
Young people achieving more than they ever thought possible.

I am the Association fund-raising officer providing all the income to support the running of the organisation. This includes costs for projects programmes, equipment and staff salaries. I have been with EABC for 10 years and have witnessed a massive growth in clubs, membership, staff and the range of facilities we can offer.
All funding comes from charitable and statutory sources and is an
on-going process to build relationships with providers and to make sure that we do not miss deadline dates.

Gerry SmithI changed from the high tech world of computers and all things technical 3 years ago and have worked for the EABC developing new clubs since (which is far more interesting and rewarding!). I am now very fortunate to be based at the Stubbers site from where I help my team to develop new clubs, initiatives and activities across the West Essex and London region.
