EABC Maintain Unbeaten Start To Season

Both the U12 and U14 representative cricket teams are still unbeaten in 2009 after the U14's played out for a draw at Felsted.  The hosts batted first on a superb wicket with a lightning quick outfield. Three Peaks Completed

Over Sunday 14th and Monday 15th June, 5 intrepid adventurers made an assault on the three peaks challenge, climbing the UK's three highest mountains in under 24 hours.  Congratulations to Michael Denley and Glen Walker (Canvey Boys' Club), Lloyd Quin (Colne Valley ATC) and also to EABC staff Martin and Keith who all completed the test.   Read more>

 

 


4 Youth Lead The Way

This years Fishing Championships, sponsored by the Environment Agency, is currently being dominated by 4 Youth after the second round of fishing was held in Ingatestone on 13th June.  The final round of fishing is at Little Walden on Saturday 18th July where other competitors will look to redress the balance and knock the 4 Youth fisherman off the top positions.  Results>


 


Canoe Test 2009

A team from Essex Association of Boys’ Clubs recently took part in and completed Clubs for Young Peoples’ 47th annual 100 Mile Canoe Test.  This year the test took place over four days on the River Wye, starting at Glasbury and finishing at Monmouth.
